Director's Message

In the Name of Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful and may the blessings and protection of Allah be upon our beloved Messenger.

For many years, there has been an emphasis on inviting lecturers to deliver single lectures on various topics of Islam. Such lectures have had tremendous success in rejuvenating the people's interest in Islam. However, single lectures were always limited in their ability to impart sufficient amounts of religious knowledge. Realising this limitation, a wide section of the community sought to further their knowledge of Islam through whatever means available. Some have tried going overseas to study, others enrolled themselves into any available university course about Islam, and some sought out any teacher that was available. As a result of the lack of opportunity and the limited availability of teaching resources, large segments of the Muslim community were disappointed and others disheartened, when their chosen path did not come to fruition.

I have delivered numerous short courses and seminars around the world on numerous topics in Islam. In doing so, I have noticed a very strong interest for these courses. In addition, I have also noticed a real need for formal institutions which focus on delivering such courses and seminars. With an intention to make a change, I set out to combine all the elements that made my short courses so successful and implemented this teaching model to a small group of selected and distinguished students upon my return to Australia in 2004. What eventuated was a small professional team of dedicated brothers and sisters who shared in the vision of enriching lives around the world through teaching Islamic knowledge. What was then a dream is now a reality. AlKauthar Institute is foundered as a non-profit educational institute with an aim to propagate Islamic knowledge to the world.

We welcome you to partake in our venture purely for the sake of Allah’s pleasure. After all, we are as Allah has mentioned in His Book: “The believing men and believing women – they are helpers of one another.”
